Founder of the Ministries
Reverend
Ed Taylor has been a church- ordained minister since 1958. He was
educated at East Tennessee State University, Tennessee Temple University,
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth Texas, and received his
doctorate from Emanuel University in North Carolina.
Rev. Taylor is senior minister of Gatlinburg Ministries, a non profit Christian
organization established 25 years ago with a mission to uphold traditional
family values by conducting marriage ceremonies based on the biblical principle
that marriage is a Divine institution. From a small marriage chapel 25 years
ago, Rev. Taylor now oversees Gatlinburg's Little Mountain Church Village which
includes three chapels, a biblical museum and a 200 seat Christian music concert
hall. As a church and marriage enrichment center, we will perform your
marriage ceremony regardless of your ability to contribute a donation to the
ministry.
Each wedding is performed by a duly
ordained Christian minister in one of our four "Mountain Replica"
chapels, nestled in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The chapels are decorated
with silk flowers and candelabra and have authentic wood-hewn padded seats
to create a unique and intimate setting for your ceremony. Our chapels,
(made world famous by our "Little Mountain Chapel") seat up to 60
people and have dressing rooms for your convenience. Our Bridal Chamber has
mirrors and vanity lighting for those last minute touch-ups and a private
restroom for your convenience. When you're ready, we escort you into a
comfortable waiting area for your personal rehearsal before entering the chapel.
Our wedding bouquets are included in most of our packages and can be
purchased separately as well. Every bouquet comes with matching groom's
boutonnière, saving you money on some of those "hidden cost"
items other facilities don't tell you about until you arrive for
your wedding.
